Applying to rent one of our properties is based on the following criteria:
If the applicant does not meet all the qualifications, a co-signer or additional security deposit may be required. The co-signer must meet all the above criteria and complete an application, which is subject to approval by the property owner.
Applicants must complete and sign the online application or the WPG rental application as soon as possible, without leaving any fields blank. Copies of verifiable income, pay stubs, bank statements, social security statements, employer letters, etc., are required. Upon approval, a cashier's check or money order payable to Washington Property Group must be sent or deposited.
Once approved, tenants will be notified by phone, text message, or email. To secure the apartment and remove it from the rental market, a holding deposit is required within 1 business day of approval, equal to the amount of the security deposit. If the applicant decides to cancel, they may lose all or part of the deposit to cover lost market time and leasing efforts. Upon receiving the deposit, we will coordinate the lease signing and the move-in date.
Residents must have an email address and will need to electronically sign the lease within 24 hours of receiving it.
Renter's liability insurance is recommended upon move-in. All residents must be listed on any provided tenant insurance, and WPG must be added as an additional insured party to be considered valid.
